Job Summary

As a Biological Laboratory Technician at LUFA NRW, you will join a highly specialized team focused on agricultural and environmental analytics. Your daily responsibilities will involve conducting microbiological examinations of water, food, and feed samples using cultural, biochemical, and molecular biological methods. You will be responsible for the independent execution of analytical procedures according to standard operating instructions and documenting results in a Laboratory Information and Management System (LIMS). This role is critical for maintaining quality management standards under DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025, where you will support the laboratory management during audits. Required Skills

Education

Completed vocational training as a Biological Laboratory Technician (Biologielaborant/in) or a comparable educational qualification.

Experience

  • Professional experience in conducting microbiological examinations of water, food, or feed samples is preferred
  • Experience with cultural, biochemical, and molecular biological testing procedures
  • Practical experience in laboratory documentation and using LIMS software
  • Experience in quality management measures and participating in laboratory audits

  • The position is initially limited to a two-year contract but is designed for long-term employment. Candidates must be willing to work in Münster. Proficiency in standard IT applications is required.
