Job Summary
As the Head of Public Safety and Order for the Starnberg District Office, you will lead a critical department responsible for ensuring community safety and regulatory compliance. Your daily responsibilities involve managing a team of eleven staff members across two specialized units, overseeing fire protection, disaster control, and civil defense. You will handle complex legal matters regarding weapons, hunting, and trade laws, while also serving as the Security Clearance Officer. A significant part of the role involves strategic coordination with other authorities and representing the department in court proceedings. This position is ideal for a leadership-oriented professional with a strong legal background in public administration. Required Skills
Education
Civil service qualification for the 3rd qualification level (Administrative track), successful completion of the 'Fachprüfung II', or a completed relevant university degree.
Experience
- Several years of professional experience in public safety, disaster control, or relevant administrative law fields
- Proven leadership experience or demonstrated leadership competencies in a high-responsibility function
- Experience in handling complex legal cases and coordinating with external security authorities
- Experience in emergency response or crisis management teams

- Must be willing to undergo a security clearance according to BaySÜG (Art. 10-12). Availability outside regular working hours is required during emergencies or dangerous situations. Location is Starnberg, Germany.
