Job Summary
As a Network Engineer specializing in Access, you will play a critical role in planning, developing, and operating regional fiber-optic network infrastructures for GVG Glasfaser. Your daily responsibilities include the scaling of local network infrastructures, capacity planning, and the optimization of network configurations. You will act as a key technical bridge, conducting Research & Development activities such as Proof of Concepts and hardware evaluations for customer premises equipment (CPE). The role demands high-level technical oversight of OLT infrastructures and Auto Configuration Servers to ensure stable and scalable service delivery. This position is ideal for technical professionals who enjoy troubleshooting complex systems and performing software/hardware lifecycle tests. Required Skills
Education
Completed vocational training in IT (e.g., IT Specialist for Systems Integration, IT Systems Electronics Technician) or a degree in Computer Science or Telecommunications Engineering.
Experience
- Extensive professional experience in the planning, development, and scaling of Access and local network infrastructures including MPLS.
- Proven competence in Research & Development within a network environment, including conducting Proof of Concepts and lifecycle testing.
- Experience in the administration and operation of OLT infrastructures and Auto Configuration Servers.
- Professional experience in troubleshooting and fault analysis within Access networks.
- Experience coordinating with suppliers and acting as a technical point of contact for passive network planning.
