Job Summary
As a Chemical Laboratory Technician at Yara's Poppendorf plant, you will play a vital role in one of the region's most innovative production sites. Your daily responsibilities will involve performing complex chemical analyses and calibrations using advanced techniques such as X-ray fluorescence (XRF), ion chromatography (IC), and ICP-OES. You will be responsible for evaluating results, documenting findings, and ensuring all activities comply with ISO quality standards and strict safety protocols. Beyond routine testing, you will contribute to digitalization projects and quality improvement initiatives. Required Skills
Education
Completed vocational training as a Chemical Laboratory Technician (Chemielaborant) or a related technical-chemical profession.
Experience
- Professional experience in chemical laboratory environments
- Experience in handling modern analytical equipment and instrumentation
- Practical experience in water and environmental analytics is preferred
- Foundational knowledge of nitrogen fertilizer production technology
- Experience working within quality management systems and safety regulations

- This is a fixed-term position for 2 years. The role is based in Poppendorf near Rostock and follows the IG BCE (Chemical Industry) collective agreement with a 38.5-hour work week.
