Job Summary

As a Body-in-White (BiW) Development Engineer, you will take responsibility for series production scopes within the automotive sector. Your daily activities will involve developing and validating concepts using modern lightweight technologies, ensuring seamless integration into global manufacturing plants, and providing ongoing series support. You will act as a central coordinator, managing project timelines, procurement documents, and external suppliers while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams such as Quality, Purchasing, and Design. A significant portion of the role involves working with simulation and testing departments to meet rigorous crash, durability, and NVH requirements. Required Skills

Education

University degree in Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Vehicle Systems, Information Technology, Automation Technology, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a comparable field of study.

Experience

  • Professional experience in component development and construction within a Body-in-White (BiW) environment
  • Experience in the automotive product creation process (PEP) is highly desirable
  • Proven experience in coordinating projects and managing external partners and suppliers
  • Demonstrated expertise in using Siemens NX for technical design
