Job Summary

As an Automation and Mechatronics Technician, you will be responsible for the continuous improvement and operational reliability of complex production and packaging systems. Your daily activities involve systematic troubleshooting and fault rectification on PLC-controlled machinery (specifically Beckhoff systems), electronic components, and camera-based inspection systems. You will play a vital role in identifying technical weaknesses and implementing sustainable solutions, including the installation, commissioning, and testing of plant modifications. Beyond reactive repairs, you will perform high-level preventive maintenance, inspections, and wear-and-tear analysis to prevent downtime. A unique aspect of this role is the focus on documentation within highly regulated environments, adhering to GMP and FDA standards. This position is ideal for technical experts who enjoy hands-on problem-solving and coordinating technical measures with production leads while working in a supportive environment that offers 30 days of vacation and employer-funded pension schemes.

Required Skills

Education

Successfully completed further training as a state-certified Technician or Master Craftsman (Meister) with a focus on Automation, Automation Technology, or Mechatronics.

Experience

  • Several years of professional experience in the maintenance, repair, and optimization of assembly and packaging systems
  • Extensive experience in fault analysis, error diagnosis, and technical problem-solving
  • Proven experience working with PLC systems, specifically Beckhoff
  • Experience in documenting technical measures according to GMP and FDA guidelines
