Job Summary

As a Systems Engineer specializing in Signature Management, you will be responsible for developing comprehensive signature concepts for surface vessels, including boats and ships, based on public sector requirements. Your daily tasks involve defining critical thresholds for acoustic, infrared, and electromagnetic (radar/radio) signatures in collaboration with specialized departments. You will utilize advanced tools like Ansys Electronics Desktop to perform Radar Cross Section (RCS) simulations and analyses, ensuring all ship specifications are accurately mapped. Beyond technical design, you will manage signature-related data within ERP and CAD systems and provide technical support during interactions with clients, classification societies, and authorities. A unique aspect of this role is the hands-on involvement during vessel testing phases, where you will serve as a technical expert on board during Factory, Harbour, and Sea Acceptance Tests. This position offers a highly specialized engineering environment within the naval defense sector, combining theoretical simulation with practical maritime application.

Required Skills

Education

University degree in Systems Engineering, Naval Engineering, Communications Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a comparable field of study.

Experience

  • Professional experience in performing analyses, simulations, and calculations of Radar Cross Sections (RCS)
  • Experience in systems engineering, naval technology, or electrical engineering
  • Proven experience collaborating with internal and external partners, ideally with public sector clients
  • Experience in technical reporting and creating verification documents for specified services
  • Familiarity with naval construction regulations, standards, and norms is preferred
