Job Summary
As a Materials Engineer at Liebherr-Aerospace, you will play a critical role in the production of high-end aircraft equipment, including landing gear and flight control systems. Your daily responsibilities will center on the planning, monitoring, and optimization of heat treatment processes. You will serve as the primary internal expert for heat treatment manufacturing issues, analyze distortion patterns, and design specialized charging racks. Beyond internal operations, you will manage external suppliers across Europe, overseeing their heat treatment activities and technical documentation. This role is highly collaborative, involving the procurement of new equipment and participation in R&D projects. Required Skills
Education
Degree in Materials Science, Materials Engineering, or a related field; alternatively, a technical qualification/vocational training specializing in Materials Technology/Heat Treatment with significant professional experience.
Experience
- Professional experience in the optimization of production processes and heat treatment workflows
- Proven experience in customer and supplier management
- Experience in the design and development of heat treatment charging racks
- Experience in coordinating external technical activities with international partners
- Background in managing the implementation of new manufacturing equipment
