Job Summary
As a Junior Environmental Management Consultant, you will join an engineering team focused on the intersection of sustainability, energy, and digitalization. Your daily responsibilities include supporting the implementation and maintenance of environmental management systems (EMS) according to ISO 14001 and EMAS standards. You will collect and analyze resource data—including energy, waste, water, and emissions—from industrial facilities and visualize this information in dashboards and reports. The role involves ensuring legal compliance, assisting with internal and external audits, and developing measures to reduce environmental impact. This position is particularly attractive due to its structured mentoring program, where you will learn directly from experienced experts. Based in a modern zero-energy office in Gunzenhausen, the role offers a clear path toward remote work flexibility after an initial on-site qualification phase, allowing you to work with diverse industrial and public sector clients in the Nuremberg metropolitan region.
Required Skills
Education
Degree in Environmental Technology, Environmental Engineering, Sustainability Management, Energy Technology, or a comparable field of study.
Experience
- Professional experience or internships in environmental management or sustainability is preferred
- Experience in analyzing environmental data from machinery, plants, or buildings
- Familiarity with interdisciplinary teamwork and analytical thinking
- Interest in working with ISO standards and management software

- The role requires an initial on-site presence in Gunzenhausen for training and knowledge transfer, with increasing remote/home office options thereafter. Candidates must have the ability to work at customer sites primarily in the Nuremberg metropolitan region.
