Job Summary
This role involves the continuous development of the proprietary SILAB® driving simulation software at WIVW, a company with 25 years of expertise in traffic psychology and simulation environments. As a Software Developer, you will work within an interdisciplinary team to integrate third-party hardware and software, including motion systems, eye-tracking devices, and CAN-bus interfaces. Your daily tasks will include preparing experimental setups for cutting-edge automotive research projects, such as highly automated driving, and maintaining simulators across Germany and Europe. The position offers a unique blend of software engineering and physical system integration, requiring a creative approach to experimental challenges. Required Skills
Education
Degree in Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, Mechanical Engineering, or a completed vocational training in Computer Science.
Experience
- Several years of professional programming experience in C++
- Experience in developing 3D graphics applications with OpenGL is preferred
- Experience with cross-platform development using Qt, Java, or Python is an advantage
- Professional experience in an interdisciplinary team environment
- Experience in the automotive or research sector is beneficial

- Willingness to travel within Germany and other European countries for the assembly and maintenance of driving simulators; ability to work on-site for experimental setups.
