Job Summary

As the Technical Lead for Android camera video middleware at BMW Car IT, you will be the primary architect shaping the video software landscape for future vehicle generations. Your daily responsibilities involve designing and evolving complex architectures for video buffering, routing, encoding, and image blurring, while bridging the gap between hardware abstraction layers and client applications. You will collaborate extensively with SoC suppliers and cross-functional teams to ensure high-performance, stable, and safe video systems. A significant part of the role includes managing Android CDD requirements, overseeing CTS validation, and leading Google certification processes. This position is ideal for a senior technical expert who enjoys mentoring others and performing deep-root cause analysis. Required Skills

Education

University degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Communications Engineering, or a comparable field of study.

  • Proven track record in video processing within Android environments, including HAL services and buffer sharing.
  • Experience with embedded development and diagnostic analysis tools.
  • Demonstrated experience in technical leadership and architectural design.
