Job Summary
This role offers a dynamic balance between field work and laboratory analysis across the Eifel and Rhineland regions. As a Geotechnical Technician, you will be responsible for the independent planning and execution of geotechnical field trials, laboratory tests, and soil sampling. You will document and evaluate terrain and lab data to support the creation of geotechnical expert reports. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys physical outdoor work and autonomous project management within a stable, permanent employment structure. The role is unique for its geographical focus on the scenic Eifel region, offering a 'job in the green' with short decision-making paths and a mix of office and field duties. You will be provided with all necessary equipment and a structured onboarding process to ensure your success in managing construction sites from the Mosel to southern North Rhine-Westphalia.
Required Skills
Education
Completed vocational training as a Building Materials Tester (specializing in Geotechnics) or a university degree in Geology, Geotechnics, Civil Engineering, or a comparable field.
Experience
- Initial practical experience in conducting geotechnical tests is preferred but not mandatory.
- Professional experience in earthworks or civil engineering is acceptable for career changers.
- Experience in independent construction site supervision and project management.
- Experience in documenting and evaluating field and laboratory data.
