Job Summary
As a Field Service Technician, you will serve as a technical expert for an international plant and special-purpose machinery manufacturer. Your day-to-day responsibilities involve performing mechanical inspections, maintenance, and service activities directly at global customer sites. You will lead the assembly and commissioning of individual components and full production systems, while also supervising external fitters on-site. Beyond technical tasks, you will provide expert consultation on plant operation and spare parts management, prepare repair quotes, and handle service documentation. Required Skills
Education
Completed vocational training as a Mechatronics Technician for Mechanical Engineering, State-Certified Technician, Master Craftsman (Meister), or a comparable qualification.
Experience
- Professional experience in mechatronics or mechanical engineering
- Experience in assembly and commissioning of industrial components or production systems
- Experience in supervising external personnel or fitters on-site
- Experience in preparing technical reports and service quotations
- Demonstrated experience in international customer service and intercultural environments
