Job Summary

The Uniklinikum Würzburg is seeking a dedicated Medical Physicist to join its Clinic and Polyclinic for Radiation Therapy and Radiooncology. In this role, you will be responsible for creating and verifying radiation treatment plans, implementing new radiation techniques, and performing essential physical-technical quality controls. You will also take on radiation protection duties, ensure compliance with relevant standards, and act as a Medical Physics Expert in radiation therapy. Required Skills

Education

Master's or Diploma degree in Physics, Medical Physics, Medical Technology, or a comparable field. Expertise as a Medical Physics Expert in Teletherapy (can be acquired during employment). Optional: Expertise as a Medical Physics Expert in Brachytherapy or X-ray diagnostics.

Experience

  • Practical experience in Teletherapy, adaptive radiation therapy, medical imaging, dosimetry, or surface-guided radiation therapy (advantageous)
  • Experience with experimental work, data analysis, and scientific writing (desirable)

Languages

German (Fluent)

Additional

  • Readiness for occasional early, late, and weekend shifts. For university degrees from non-EU countries, a long version of the certificate evaluation from the Central Office for Foreign Education (Zentralstelle für Ausländisches Bildungswesen) is required.
