Job Summary
As an IAM Engineer / IAM Specialist based in Essen or Muttenz, you will be a key member of the IT Service Center department, responsible for the operation and technical support of the company-wide Identity and Access Management platform. Your day-to-day work involves managing a Microsoft-centric environment including Active Directory, Entra ID, and Conditional Access to ensure secure and efficient access for both internal and external users. You will integrate new applications using modern standards like SAML and OAuth, automate Identity Lifecycle processes (Joiner-Mover-Leaver), and implement role-based access control concepts. This role is ideal for technical professionals who enjoy scripting with PowerShell and the Microsoft Graph API to drive automation. Required Skills
Education
Degree or vocational training in the IT field is preferred; alternatively, career changers with extensive practical IAM experience and relevant further training are welcome.
Experience
- Professional experience in the conception, development, and operation of IAM systems using Entra ID and Active Directory
- Deep technical experience in PowerShell scripting and utilizing Microsoft Graph API for automation
- Experience in implementing role and authorization concepts in collaboration with business departments
- Practical experience with modern authentication and authorization protocols
- Experience in a fast-paced business environment with a focus on customer-centric solutions
