Job Summary
As a Grid Connection Manager at Encavis, you will play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between renewable energy production and the electrical grid for large-scale PV, wind, and battery storage (BESS) projects across Europe. Your day-to-day responsibilities involve managing the entire grid connection lifecycle, from initial application with DSOs and TSOs to final commissioning. You will lead technical negotiations, design and review medium- and high-voltage (MV/HV) connection concepts, and ensure strict compliance with international grid codes. This role is highly collaborative, requiring you to act as the central technical interface between external EPC contractors, grid operators, and internal procurement teams. Required Skills
Education
University degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy Engineering, Renewable Energy Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a comparable technical discipline.
Experience
- Approximately 10 years of professional experience as a Grid Manager, Grid Connection Manager, or technical project lead for renewable energy projects.
- Extensive experience delivering utility-scale PV, wind, and/or BESS projects.
- Proven experience in leading teams and coordinating internal and external project managers.
- Demonstrated expertise in managing complex technical and regulatory environments within the energy sector.
- Established professional network within the European energy sector, specifically in Germany, Spain, or Italy.

- The role requires expertise in European grid connection processes (specifically Germany, Spain, or Italy). Additional language skills in Italian or Spanish are considered a strong asset.
