This role involves serving as a dedicated Employment Coordinator for refugees within the Jobcenter of the State Capital Magdeburg. Day-to-day, you will provide personalized counseling and placement services, helping participants navigate their career paths and preparing them for job interviews. A significant portion of the role focuses on networking with external partners such as the BAMF and Youth Welfare Office, as well as actively recruiting employers—specifically small and micro-enterprises—to create new job opportunities. You will also provide post-placement support to ensure long-term employment stability. This position is ideal for professionals who enjoy a mix of social counseling, administrative documentation, and proactive employer relations. Required Skills

Education

University degree in Public Administration, Administrative Economics, Labor Market Management, or Counseling for Education and Profession; alternatively, completion of the Employee Training Course II (Beschäftigtenlehrgang II).

Experience

  • Professional experience in labor market placement (required if degree is in a non-specialized field)
  • 1 year of professional experience in employment mediation (specifically for applicants with general university degrees)
  • Experience in counseling and supporting refugees or diverse populations
  • Experience in collaborating with network partners such as migration advisory centers or government agencies
