As a Senior Data Scientist within the Global Search tribe at Delivery Hero, you will be at the forefront of revolutionizing how millions of users discover food and groceries. Your daily responsibilities involve researching, developing, and optimizing advanced Large Language Models (LLMs) with a specific focus on fine-tuning and Agentic AI. You will architect autonomous reasoning patterns such as ReAct and Chain-of-Thought to solve complex search problems and improve query understanding. This role requires a blend of high-level research and hands-on engineering, as you will lead the full data science lifecycle from ideation to production. Required Skills

Education

Advanced degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Computer Science, Mathematics, or Physics) or equivalent professional background.

Experience

  • Professional experience as a Data Scientist solving complex business problems through advanced scientific methodologies
  • Deep, hands-on experience building Agentic workflows, including tool-use and autonomous planning
  • Proven track record in LLM fine-tuning and distillation techniques
  • Experience with search machine learning algorithms such as query expansion and personalization
  • Professional experience working in global, cross-functional teams
  • Experience with MLOps tools and cloud-based production environments
