Job Summary
As an Electronics Technician for Automation Technology at Deutschlandradio Service GmbH in Cologne, you will play a critical role in ensuring the seamless operation of building services within a national broadcasting facility. Your daily responsibilities involve overseeing technical building systems (TGA), including ventilation, cooling, heating, and electrical systems up to 10KV. You will be responsible for supervising external contractors, managing maintenance schedules, and performing hands-on programming and visualization updates for building control systems. This role is unique because it combines high-level system responsibility with technical execution, such as configuring PLC/DDC controllers and managing LON/KNX systems. Candidates need a solid background in automation technology and a willingness to participate in an on-call rotation. Required Skills
Education
Completed vocational training as an Electronics Technician for Automation Technology or a comparable qualification. Further qualification as a Master Craftsman (Meister) or Technician is desirable.
Experience
- Several years of relevant professional experience in automation technology
- Professional experience in building services engineering, specifically with ventilation, cooling, and heating systems
- Experience in programming freely programmable controllers (PLC/DDC)
- Experience working with LON and/or KNX systems
- Experience in coordinating and supervising external service providers
