Job Summary

As an Equipment Classification Engineer in the high-voltage direct current (HVDC) transmission sector, you will be responsible for ensuring that all technical assets are accurately classified, tagged, and traceable. Your daily work involves planning and executing equipment classification for complex design work packages, utilizing international standards like RDS-PP and IEC. You will serve as the owner of the asset register and system breakdown structure, managing the full data lifecycle from collection to archival. This role is highly collaborative, requiring you to interface with engineering departments, contractors, and customers to maintain data consistency across databases and Excel. This position is particularly attractive for detail-oriented engineers who enjoy working in multicultural environments and want to contribute to the energy transition through high-tech power transmission projects in Berlin.

Required Skills

Education

Master's degree in engineering or a related technical field; alternatively, a high school diploma combined with relevant professional experience.

Experience

  • Professional experience in system breakdown structures and asset register management
  • Experience in item designation management across engineering disciplines such as HV/LV systems and automation
  • Proven track record working in multicultural and international project environments
  • Experience coordinating technical requirements with customers and suppliers
  • At least 2 years of relevant professional experience if applying with a high school diploma
