This role is based at the University of Wuppertal within the Sustainable Organic Catalysis research group. As a Research Associate and PhD candidate, you will focus on developing innovative synthetic methods using photocatalysis. Your daily work involves conducting photophysical and theoretical mechanistic investigations, including the use of Density Functional Theory (DFT) calculations. You will collaborate closely with a diverse international team located both in Germany and abroad. Required Skills

Education

Master's degree or equivalent in Chemistry (completed or expected by Summer 2026).

Experience

  • Experience with machine learning applications is considered an advantage
  • Experience working effectively within international and diverse teams
