Job Summary
As a Principal Data Engineer at Thoughtworks, you will serve as a strategic leader bridging the gap between high-level business objectives and complex technical execution. You will spearhead data engineering initiatives, partnering with executive stakeholders to align technology strategies with business goals. Your day-to-day will involve driving pre-sales activities, designing large-scale Big Data architectures, and building intricate data processing pipelines using clean code and TDD practices. You will also design strategies for data governance, security, and privacy while mentoring junior team members. This role is unique because it combines high-level consultancy and pre-sales with 'hands-on' production-grade coding. You will act as a subject matter expert in modern data paradigms, representing the company at industry forums and ensuring technical excellence across diverse client projects in a dynamic, inclusive environment.
