Job Summary
As the Head of Heat Treatment at this established family-owned stainless steel and nickel alloy specialist, you will lead the metallurgical production processes essential for high-quality forged and rolled products. Your day-to-day responsibilities involve planning and executing heat treatment cycles, programming furnaces, and conducting rigorous quality inspections including hardness testing. You will be a hands-on leader responsible for managing, training, and integrating personnel while coordinating maintenance and optimizing energy consumption. The role is ideal for a technical expert with a background in materials science who enjoys process optimization and cross-departmental communication. Required Skills
Education
Degree in Materials Science/Metallurgy, or completed vocational training as a Materials Tester (Heat Treatment) with further qualification as a Technician or Master Craftsman.
Experience
- At least 2 years of practical experience in the heat treatment of steels
- Professional experience in personnel management and leadership
- Proven experience in process optimization within a production environment
- Experience in documenting parameters and conducting quality inspections

- Must be able to work full-time in Lindlar, Germany. Position involves coordinating with external service providers and overseeing energy consumption optimization.
