Job Summary
As an IT Support Specialist at the Saxon State Ministry of Finance, you will play a vital role in maintaining the IT infrastructure for approximately 400 employees. Your daily responsibilities include managing a Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI), overseeing the User Help Desk for 1st-level support, and administering mobile devices through MDM/EMM systems. You will also be responsible for IT monitoring, maintaining network infrastructure (LAN/WLAN), and supporting specialized software applications, including basic scripting. This role is ideal for technical professionals who enjoy a mix of user interaction and hands-on hardware/software maintenance. Required Skills
Education
Completed vocational training in Information Technology or an equivalent vocational degree combined with relevant professional experience.
Experience
- Professional experience in IT Help Desk, telephone support, or customer service
- Proven technical experience with VDI environments and network infrastructure
- 5 years of professional experience in IT support required if no formal IT vocational degree is held
- Experience in inventory management and software administration
- Experience in hardware setup and user training
Languages
Additional
- Must have German language skills equivalent to B2 level. Foreign degrees must include a German translation and proof of recognition/equivalence via the ZAB. Position is located in Dresden.
