Job Summary

As a BIM Designer for Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems at Berlin's largest water utility, you will play a central role in modernizing the city's infrastructure. Your daily responsibilities involve implementing HVAC and plumbing designs for complex structures like waterworks and wastewater treatment plants using Building Information Modeling (BIM) methodologies. You will be responsible for the continuous detailing of 3D models, creating Revit families, performing collision checks, and generating 2D plans and quantity take-offs. Beyond technical modeling, you will act as a consultant to the engineering department, ensuring the quality of external digital data and its integration into virtual existing assets. Required Skills

Education

State-certified Technician in Civil Engineering (specializing in Civil Engineering/Infrastructure) or State-certified Surveying Technician; alternatively, training as a Geomatics Technician or Draftsperson (Civil/Road/Landscape) with further training as a Certified CAD Designer.

Experience

  • Professional experience relevant to the position in civil engineering or MEP systems
  • Practical experience in 3D modeling and BIM planning methods
  • Experience in creating technical drawings and construction documentation for engineering structures
  • Experience with HVAC calculation tools (e.g., Solarcomputer, Linear, Dendrit) is preferred
