The Head of Technical Department will lead the technical team at Vienna House Andel's Berlin, a prominent 4-star superior design hotel. This role involves comprehensive responsibility for the maintenance, repair, and operational efficiency of all technical systems, including proactive planning for preventive maintenance and managing the deployment of operational resources. A key aspect is monitoring energy consumption and implementing cost-saving optimizations. The successful candidate will ensure compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements, oversee renovation and modernization projects, and coordinate with external partners. Required Skills
Education
Completed education in supply engineering, electrical engineering, or building services engineering, or an electro-technical or HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, Sanitary) qualification. A university degree is advantageous.
Experience
- Several years of professional experience with relevant technical knowledge in the area of responsibility
- Professional experience in the hotel industry or facility management preferred
- Relevant experience in cost management, budget planning, and forecasting
- Experience in employee leadership and quality assurance
