Job Summary

As an HVDC Commissioning Engineer, you will be responsible for the technically sound, timely, and cost-effective commissioning of High-Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) systems at global project sites. Your daily activities will focus on the setup and oversight of network infrastructures, specifically TCP/IP-based data networks, HMI concepts, and network communication components. You will act as a vital interface for signal synchronization and local/remote signal converters, supporting customers and partners in troubleshooting communication interfaces. This role is highly dynamic, requiring worldwide travel to construction sites and potentially offshore platforms. Required Skills

Education

Completed vocational training or degree in Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, or a comparable field; Qualification as a Qualified Electrician (Elektrofachkraft).

Experience

  • Professional experience in the commissioning of electrical systems or network infrastructure
  • Practical experience in network administration including switches, routers, and virtualization
  • Experience working with HMI concepts and signal converters
  • Experience in troubleshooting and testing communication interfaces
  • Experience in a field-based or construction site environment is preferred
