Job Summary
This role is based within the Ministry of Justice and Health of the State of Schleswig-Holstein in Kiel, specifically within the 'Hospital Financing and Statistics' unit. As a technical expert, you will provide structural and conceptual consultancy to hospital operators, overseeing and auditing municipal, non-profit, and private hospital construction projects. Your day-to-day involves technical monitoring of construction measures, auditing proofs of use, and supporting other health departments on building-related queries. A unique aspect of this position is the opportunity to participate in the 'Beyond Expediency' project, which focuses on the future development of healthcare construction in collaboration with TH Lübeck. You will work in an interdisciplinary team of 16 professionals ranging from architects and engineers to legal and financial experts, contributing to public welfare through the modernization of healthcare infrastructure.
Required Skills
Education
University degree (Bachelor/Diploma) in Engineering (Building Services, Electrical, Energy, Supply, or Mechanical Engineering), Civil Engineering with TGA focus, or Architecture with TGA specialization; alternatively, a State-Certified Technician in a relevant technical field.
Experience
- Professional experience in Technical Building Services (TGA), hospital technology, or healthcare construction is highly desirable
- 3 years of relevant professional experience in engineering activities required for candidates with a State-Certified Technician qualification
- Experience in technical auditing and construction supervision
- Experience in interdisciplinary collaboration within public administration or healthcare sectors

- German language proficiency at C1 level (CEFR) is mandatory. The role is available as full-time or part-time. Candidates must be eligible for German civil service (Beamtentum) or public sector collective agreements (TV-L).
