This role is central to ensuring the reliable supply of clean drinking water to approximately 80,000 people. As a Water Supply Engineer, you will manage construction and renovation projects for water extraction, treatment, and storage facilities, including wells, waterworks, and pumping stations. Your day-to-day responsibilities involve coordinating various project stakeholders such as engineering firms and authorities, preparing water law permit applications, and monitoring facilities to ensure compliance with strict standards like the Drinking Water Ordinance (TrinkwV) and DVGW regulations. Required Skills
Education
Degree in Civil Engineering, preferably with a focus on Water Management, or a comparable engineering degree in Drinking Water Supply or Urban Water Management.
Experience
- Professional experience in the field of drinking water supply
- Experience in managing construction projects across all HOAI service phases
- Experience in coordinating external engineering firms, construction companies, and authorities
- Proven knowledge of relevant German regulations including VOB, HOAI, LBauO, and WHG
Languages
Additional
- Valid Class B driver's license required. Must be willing to participate in on-call standby duties to ensure water supply security. German language proficiency at C1 level is mandatory.
