Job Summary
This role involves managing the fixed asset accounting for the City Administration of Torgau and the municipality of Dreiheide. As a Fixed Asset Accountant, you will be responsible for the recording, valuation, and management of assets and investment grants. Key daily tasks include checking activation eligibility in coordination with specialized departments, booking depreciations, and managing the release of special items. You will also play a critical role in budget planning by determining depreciation and income forecasts, preparing asset overviews, and supporting annual financial statements and audits. This position is particularly attractive due to its flexible working hours with flexitime and mobile work options, a competitive salary according to the TVöD public service scale (EG 9a), and 30 days of annual leave. It offers a stable environment within public administration, though it is a fixed-term parental leave replacement starting in August 2026.
Required Skills
Education
Completed vocational training as a Public Administration Specialist (Verwaltungsfachangestellter), Tax Assistant (Steuerfachangestellter), or a comparable degree in a relevant field with equivalent skills.
Experience
- Professional experience in fixed asset accounting is preferred
- Practical knowledge of budgetary and cash law
- Experience in preparing financial statements and supporting audits
- Proven experience in asset valuation and grant management
