Job Summary

As a System Engineer for Industrial Documentation at HENSOLDT, you will be a key member of the Program Management Shelter Systems & Command Posts department in Fürstenfeldbruck. Your primary responsibility is the creation and maintenance of comprehensive technical documentation for mobile IT solutions and defense systems, including specifications, integration plans, and CE manuals in accordance with IEC/IEEE 82079. You will work closely with internal technical departments and external stakeholders to translate complex technical content—such as commissioning, operation, and maintenance procedures—into clear documentation. Beyond writing, you will support project management tasks, including progress reporting, requirements management, and logistics analysis. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented engineer who enjoys bridging the gap between technical development and customer-facing documentation. Required Skills

Education

Completed degree in Engineering or a comparable field of study.

Experience

  • Professional experience in handling technical documents such as block diagrams, rack installation plans, and operating manuals
  • Specialized expertise in the creation of technical documentation for industrial or defense systems
  • Experience in commissioning, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of complex systems is preferred
  • Previous experience as a Field Application Engineer or System Engineer is ideal
  • Proven experience in project management, specifically using the V-Model methodology
  • Experience with products and services requiring complex technical explanation

Additional

  • The role requires the ability to travel to customer sites for photography and documentation purposes. Knowledge of military logistics within the Army, Air Force, or Navy is considered an advantage.
