Job Summary

As a Low Voltage Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of offshore substations by managing maintenance for auxiliary systems. Your day-to-day responsibilities involve planning and preparing technical work packages for systems such as cranes, HVAC, fire detection/suppression (FAS/FES), UPS, and diesel generators. You will be responsible for creating risk assessments, defining work instructions, and coordinating with offshore technicians to ensure all activities meet strict safety and legal standards. This position is highly collaborative, requiring you to work closely with the HV and Transmission team to develop maintenance strategies and manage external contractors. This role is unique for its focus on the renewable energy sector, specifically offshore wind infrastructure, offering the chance to work on complex technical systems while contributing to the green energy transition. It combines technical engineering tasks with project coordination and safety management in a high-stakes offshore environment.

Required Skills

Education

Degree in Engineering, Mechatronics, or Electrical Engineering; or equivalent professional experience (EQF Level 6).

Experience

  • Professional experience in the maintenance of electrical or mechanical systems
  • Experience working in an offshore environment is preferred
  • Experience in creating work instructions and operating procedures
  • Experience in monitoring and evaluating technical work performed by external contractors
  • Proven experience in maintenance strategy development
