Job Summary

As a Project Administrator at NABU Lower Saxony, you will play a vital role in protecting nature and the environment by managing the administrative lifecycle of various conservation projects. Based in Hannover, your day-to-day responsibilities involve supporting project managers from the initial application phase through to the final proof of expenditure. You will be responsible for project controlling, cost planning, and budget monitoring, ensuring that actual costs align with planned figures and identifying any deviations. Additionally, you will handle project reporting, invoice verification, and the development of financial forecasts. This role is ideal for organized professionals who want to combine their administrative or commercial expertise with a passion for sustainability. Required Skills

Education

University degree (Master's or Diploma) in Biology, Environmental Sciences, Environmental Planning, or a Commercial/Business qualification.

Experience

  • Professional experience in project administration or project controlling
  • Experience in managing projects from application to final expenditure reporting
  • Proven track record in cost monitoring and financial forecasting
  • Experience in the non-profit sector (NPO) is highly desirable
  • Experience in organizational coordination and stakeholder communication

  • The position is initially limited to a two-year contract with the possibility of long-term extension. Location: Hannover. Working hours: 30 hours per week.
