Job Summary

As a Senior Azure Architect & Technical Lead, you will serve as a central technical authority driving the architecture, implementation, and evolution of modern Azure and hybrid cloud environments. This hands-on leadership role involves managing a successful cloud solution used by over 100 clients across Germany, with a specific focus on Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) environments. You will be responsible for designing landing zones, ensuring robust governance and security, and leading complex migration projects from analysis to stable operation. Beyond technical execution, you will act as a strategic sparring partner for clients and internal teams, defining technical standards and best practices. The position offers significant creative freedom within a technologically advanced Microsoft Cloud environment, supported by a hybrid work model and opportunities for high-level Microsoft certifications. It is an ideal role for an expert who enjoys combining high-level architectural decision-making with practical, operational responsibility.

Required Skills

Education

Ideally holds Microsoft Certifications: AZ-104 (Azure Administrator), AZ-305 (Azure Solutions Architect Expert), and AZ-140 (Azure Virtual Desktop Specialty) or equivalent qualifications.

Experience

  • Several years of professional experience as an Azure Architect, Senior Cloud Engineer, or Technical Lead
  • Extensive hands-on experience in Microsoft Azure infrastructure and landing zones
  • Proven track record in designing and operating Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) environments
  • Experience with hybrid cloud scenarios and integrating on-premises environments
  • Experience in technical project leadership and architectural decision-making
