Job Summary

This doctoral position at the GEOMAR Helmholtz Centre for Ocean Research Kiel focuses on studying the movement of migratory fish in the Baltic and North Sea ecosystems. As a PhD candidate, you will investigate how offshore development and ocean urbanization impact fish behavior using acoustic telemetry as your primary methodology. Day-to-day responsibilities include participating in cruise-based field work, managing complex datasets, and performing statistical modeling to understand macro-scale ecological patterns. You will collaborate closely with international partners, particularly DTU Aqua in Denmark, as part of the 'Urban Ocean' project. Required Skills

Education

Experience
