Job Summary
As a Technical Operations Engineer, you will play a central role in the renewable energy sector, working closely with technical management to support Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) and hybrid systems throughout their entire lifecycle. Your daily responsibilities will include providing technical pre-sales and sales support, engaging directly with customers, and participating in technical coordination meetings. You will be actively involved in commissioning, testing, and acceptance procedures both on-site and remotely, while also providing 2nd-level technical support to resolve complex issues. A unique aspect of this role is the opportunity to build and document technical standards and processes for a newly founded company within an established medium-sized enterprise. This position is ideal for those who enjoy a mix of operational project work and strategic structural development, offering the flexibility of hybrid work models and the chance to actively shape the energy transition.
Required Skills
Education
Technical vocational training or university degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy Technology, Mechatronics, or a comparable field.
Experience
- At least 3 years of relevant professional experience in the renewable energy sector (BESS, PV, charging infrastructure, or similar energy plants)
- Professional experience in technical analysis and structured communication of complex technical issues
- Experience in or willingness to actively participate in on-site and remote system commissioning
- Professional experience in customer-facing technical support or sales support
