Job Summary
As an AI Engineer at Teufel, you will serve as the technical bridge between core IT infrastructure and business-driven AI use cases. Your daily responsibilities involve evaluating state-of-the-art AI models—including LLMs, multimodal systems, and open-weight models—to design secure, scalable integrations within the company's data ecosystem. You will collaborate closely with Data Engineering to implement RAG systems, manage API gateways, and ensure compliance with the EU AI Act and GDPR. Required Skills
Education
Degree in IT, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
Experience
- Professional experience in IT, software engineering, data engineering, or cloud architecture
- Practical experience with cloud platforms, APIs, and microservices
- Hands-on experience with vector databases and embedding strategies
- Experience in evaluating and implementing modern AI/ML models and platforms
- Experience in technical project leadership, specifically supporting PoCs and pilots for production readiness

Additional
- Hybrid work model based in Berlin. Knowledge of EU AI Act, GDPR, and NIS2 compliance is required. Must be able to translate complex AI behaviors to non-technical stakeholders.
