Job Summary
As a Mechanical or Mechatronics Design Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the technical future of mobile automation systems. Your day-to-day responsibilities involve the independent, solution-oriented design of complex mechanical and mechatronic components and assemblies. You will manage technical projects from the initial draft through to series production, which includes building and verifying prototypes, performing tolerance and strength analyses, and conducting risk assessments. This role is highly collaborative, requiring close coordination with internal departments, customers, and suppliers to ensure high-quality technical documentation and calculations. This position is particularly attractive because it offers a structured onboarding phase through various production stations, flexible working hours (flextime), and the stability of an international yet family-oriented company. You will have the creative freedom to implement your own ideas while contributing to innovative technologies like mobile weighing and sensor systems.
Required Skills
Education
Completed technical training with further qualification as a State-Certified Technician in Mechanical Engineering (Design) or Mechatronics (Systems Engineering), or a university degree such as a Graduate Engineer (FH) in Mechanical Engineering.
Experience
- Professional experience in mechanical or mechatronics design
- Experience using modern 3D CAD software, specifically Autodesk Inventor or similar tools
- Practical vocational training in a technical field is highly preferred
- Experience in technical project management from design to series production
- Proven ability in creating technical drawings and performing engineering calculations
