Job Summary

As a Senior Data / Machine Learning Engineer, you will be instrumental in transforming raw data into systematic, long-term assets for the company. Based in Stuttgart with hybrid or remote options, you will move beyond isolated analyses to build sustainable product foundations, including scoring models and recommender systems. You will work within a small, cross-functional team of fewer than ten people, ensuring short decision-making paths and high individual impact. Your daily responsibilities involve developing data pipelines primarily in Python (with a transition toward Rust), designing data architectures, and evaluating the strategic use of Machine Learning and LLMs. This role is unique because it focuses on the gradual digitalization of real-world decision models rather than starting from scratch. It offers a high degree of architectural freedom and long-term technical responsibility, making it ideal for an experienced engineer who values product quality and focused, meaningful work over corporate bureaucracy.
