Job Summary
This role involves working at the Research Institute for Post-Mining Landscapes (FIB) in Finsterwalde, focusing on environmental analysis. As a Chemical Laboratory Assistant, you will independently conduct laboratory analyses on plant, soil, and water samples, specifically performing content determination and residue analysis. Your day-to-day responsibilities include the calibration and maintenance of analytical equipment, meticulous sample preparation, and the documentation of analytical data within a Quality Management (QM) system. Additionally, you will support the laboratory's accreditation processes. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with a background in chemical or technical assistance who enjoys working in a team-oriented research environment. The role offers a 32-hour work week (part-time) with a fixed-term three-year contract that includes a potential option for permanent extension, providing a stable yet flexible career path in environmental science.
Required Skills
Education
Completed vocational training as a Chemical-Technical Assistant (CTA), Laboratory Assistant, or an equivalent chemical/technical qualification.
Experience
- Professional experience in a laboratory environment is desirable
- Experience with analytical equipment software
- Experience in independent execution of laboratory analyses
- Experience in quality-conscious teamwork
