Job Summary
In this role at KARL SCHNELL, a leading premium brand in food industry machinery, you will be responsible for the software engineering of control systems for specialized machinery. Your day-to-day activities will involve creating programs for automation systems using Siemens PLC controllers and developing machine visualizations for Siemens MTP series operator panels. You will also be tasked with creating operator documentation, performing internal system acceptance tests, and supporting the commissioning of equipment at customer sites. This position is ideal for technical professionals with a background in automation or control technology who enjoy a mix of office-based programming and hands-on field commissioning. Required Skills
Education
Technician training or a completed degree specializing in Automation, Control Engineering, or a comparable technical field.
Experience
- Professional experience in specialized machinery construction (Sondermaschinenbau) is preferred
- Proven experience in programming Simatic S7 and TIA Portal using LAD and SCL
- Experience in creating machine visualizations for Siemens operator panels
- Experience in commissioning industrial plants at customer locations
