As a Biological Technical Assistant, you will take independent responsibility for laboratory organization and specialized experimental workflows. Your day-to-day activities will center on immunohistochemistry (IHC), tissue processing, and image-based analysis. Beyond technical execution, you will manage laboratory operations, including inventory and sample tracking, and play a vital role in training students and new members. Required Skills
Education
Completed vocational training as Biological Technical Assistant (BTA), Medical Technical Assistant (MTA), Chemical Technical Assistant (CTA), or a Master’s degree (M.Sc.) in life sciences or a related field.
Experience
- Professional experience in immunohistochemistry workflows with the ability to work independently
- Experience with tissue processing, histological techniques, and microscopy
- Experience in laboratory organization, including ordering and sample tracking
- Experience in training and supervising students or junior staff
- Experience with image analysis tools such as ImageJ or QuPath is preferred
