Job Summary

As a Legal Counsel / Consultant for Data Protection at Heraeus Business Solutions, you will join a specialized four-person team responsible for overseeing data privacy across a global technology group. Your day-to-day responsibilities involve advising various business units and central functions on the design and implementation of GDPR-compliant processes. You will play a pivotal role in evolving the Data Protection Management System (DPMS), drafting standard operating procedures (SOPs), and conducting international awareness campaigns. This position is unique for its blend of legal governance and hands-on project management within a Top-10 German family-owned enterprise. You will act as a key point of contact for internal stakeholders, translating complex legal requirements into actionable business concepts while supporting data protection coordinators across 40 countries. Required Skills

Education

University degree in Economics, Law, or Social Sciences; or equivalent advanced IT knowledge acquired through a degree or vocational training. Specialized training in Data Protection is highly preferred.

Experience

  • 3-5 years of professional experience in a data protection environment within an international company
  • Professional experience in developing and maintaining Data Protection Management Systems
  • Experience in creating legal guidelines, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and instructional documents
  • Proven experience in conducting legal assessments and balancing of interests
  • Experience in delivering training and communication campaigns across departments
