Job Summary

This role involves the crucial operation and maintenance of broadband communication technology and voice alarm systems within a significant public service environment. The technician will be responsible for configuring and maintaining digital satellite reception and transmission systems, including streaming and TV infrastructure based on UNIX and Windows. Key duties also include comprehensive customer support, troubleshooting the entire broadband distribution network, and installing new infrastructure. Additionally, the role covers managing voice alarm systems, handling incident reports, and creating error logs. Required Skills

Education

Completed vocational training as an IT Specialist, Information Electronics Technician, or in a recognized training profession in the field of Information Technology/Electronics.

Experience

  • Several years of current professional experience in operating broadband headend technology, including server administration (UNIX and Windows)
  • Current specialized knowledge and experience in satellite reception systems and digital broadband communication technology
  • Current specialized knowledge and experience in digital video and audio transmission procedures
  • Current specialized knowledge and experience in digital broadband communication distribution technology
  • Experience with ticketing systems (ARS REMEDY or comparable)

  • Willingness to undergo an extended security clearance check (SÜG). Readiness to provide alternating service hours, work overtime during parliamentary session weeks, and participate in special forms of work (e.g., on-call duties).
