Job Summary
This role offers an exciting opportunity for an Electrical Engineer or Electrician to work on international offshore projects involving seismic and geophysical surveys. Based out of Bremen for preparations, you will spend up to two weeks at a time at sea, primarily in German waters, managing sophisticated maritime measurement technology. Your day-to-day responsibilities include the installation, maintenance, and operation of specialized equipment such as seismic systems, magnetics, side-scan sonar, and multibeam echosounders. You will be responsible for functional testing, troubleshooting, and maintaining technical documentation for these complex systems. This position is ideal for technical professionals who enjoy hands-on work in maritime environments and want to be part of a collaborative team with flat hierarchies. The role is particularly attractive due to its predictable offshore schedules, modern equipment, and the chance to work on cutting-edge geophysical survey technology.
Required Skills
Education
Completed vocational training as an Electrician/Electronics Technician or a University Degree in Electrical Engineering.
Experience
- Professional experience in electrical installation, electronics, or electrical engineering
- Experience in the maintenance and operation of complex measurement systems
- Experience or strong interest in maritime and offshore work environments
- Experience in technical documentation and equipment inventory management
