Job Summary
This role involves performing critical quality control tasks within a dynamic recycling and production environment in Grünstadt. As a Laboratory Technician, your day-to-day responsibilities will include conducting quality checks across sorting, dry grinding, washing, and extrusion plants. You will be responsible for producing test specimens to analyze regrind and regranulate materials, documenting results, and characterizing plastics by determining density and grain size distribution. Additionally, you will manage wastewater analysis, maintain a wastewater log, and prepare reports for management. The position is ideal for those with a background in chemical processing who are comfortable maintaining technical measuring equipment and working within a shift system. This role offers the stability of an open-ended contract and above-tariff pay, making it an attractive opportunity for professionals looking to apply their laboratory skills to the waste management and recycling industry.
Required Skills
Education
Completed vocational training as a Chemical Technician (Chemikant) or a comparable qualification.
Experience
- Professional experience in a chemical laboratory setting
- Experience in the waste management or disposal industry is preferred
- Experience in characterizing plastics and determining material density
- Experience in maintaining and calibrating technical measuring instruments
Languages
Additional
- Willingness to work in a shift system (Schichtdienst) is required.
