Job Summary
As an Electrical Engineering Technician within the Engineering and Innovation department for passenger railcars, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and punctuality of train operations. Your day-to-day responsibilities involve managing a product portfolio of electric railcars and passenger coaches, with a specific focus on train protection systems and control technology. You will act as a technical point of contact, assisting with troubleshooting directly on the vehicles, documenting technical issues, and developing maintenance guidelines (ECM2). Additionally, you will create technical specifications for spare parts and tools while implementing optimization strategies to reduce costs and increase vehicle reliability. This role is ideal for a structured professional who enjoys working independently while collaborating closely with workshop personnel and project teams. The position offers a stable, permanent contract with flexible working hours in a modern production environment.
Required Skills
Education
Completed technical education at 'Matura' level or higher (HTL, University of Applied Sciences/FH, or Technical University/TU) specializing in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or Mechatronics.
Experience
- Professional experience in maintenance strategies and operational processes within a production environment.
- Practical experience in the rail vehicle industry or a comparable technical sector is highly valued.
- Experience in creating technical specifications, maintenance guidelines, and testing instructions.
- Proven background in troubleshooting and damage research for complex electrical or mechanical components.

- The role is based in Vienna-Favoriten with a standard 38.5-hour work week and a flexible 'Gleitzeit' (flextime) schedule. Candidates must be able to handle rapidly changing situations and demonstrate high customer orientation.
