Job Summary

As an Energy Manager for the City of Neustadt am Rübenberge, you will lead the strategic and operational management of municipal energy systems. Your primary goal is to sustainably reduce energy consumption, costs, and CO2 emissions across city properties. Day-to-day, you will develop and coordinate energy management systems, analyze consumption data, and implement efficiency measures. You will also create economic feasibility studies for energy-related projects, advise political and administrative bodies, and collaborate with external service providers and utility companies. Required Skills

Education

University degree (Bachelor or Diploma) in Energy Economics, Energy Technology, Electrical Engineering, Architecture, Civil and Environmental Engineering, HVAC Management, Climate Protection, or a comparable field.

Experience

  • Professional experience in energy management or energy technology
  • Experience in the public administration sector is preferred
  • Proven knowledge of energy supply, procurement, and consumption regulations
  • Experience in creating energy reports and key performance indicator (KPI) analysis
  • Experience in implementing energy-efficient renovation measures

Additional

  • Valid Class B driver's license required with willingness to use private vehicle for business purposes if necessary. This is a full-time position (39 hours/week) and is not suitable for part-time. The contract is fixed-term for three years.
