Job Summary

As a Junior Hardware Development Engineer, you will play a key role in developing components for Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs). Your daily responsibilities include conceptualizing hardware designs, overseeing PCB layouts, organizing prototype construction, and conducting hands-on commissioning. You will be responsible for planning and executing development tests while ensuring thorough documentation of all engineering steps. This role is ideal for a proactive team player who enjoys finding optimal solutions for mass-production environments while considering environmental conditions. The position is particularly attractive due to its high level of flexibility, offering 2 to 3 days of mobile work per week, up to 30 days of 'workation' abroad, and access to extensive global development programs and corporate benefits within a leading technology firm.

Required Skills

Education

Degree in Information Technology, Communication Engineering, Automation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a comparable qualification.

Experience

  • Initial professional experience in circuit design for digital and analog technology
  • Practical experience in dimensioning and simulating onboard power supplies
  • Experience with PCB layout rules, signal integrity, and EMC design
  • Hands-on experience using measurement equipment such as oscilloscopes and emulators
  • Experience in the construction and repair of hardware prototypes
  • Professional experience using PC-based tools for schematics and simulations
