Job Summary
As a Specialist in Power Grid System Management and Front Office, you will play a critical role in ensuring the stability and efficiency of the 16.7 Hz traction power grid. Your daily responsibilities involve managing energy schedules, ensuring legally compliant balance group management, and coordinating data exchange with suppliers. You will be responsible for planning grid-serving generator deployment, managing redispatch measures reported to the Federal Network Agency, and optimizing annual shutdown planning. Beyond operations, you will drive the strategic development of IT systems and processes for the grid operator. This role is ideal for an electrical engineering professional who enjoys navigating complex regulatory environments and technical systems. You will join a vital team at DB Energie GmbH in Frankfurt am Main, contributing to the sustainable energy supply of Germany's rail infrastructure. The position offers a high level of responsibility in a critical infrastructure environment, combined with the benefits of a major international transport group.
Required Skills
Education
Degree in Electrical Engineering or a comparable qualification with several years of relevant professional experience.
Experience
- Professional experience in electrical engineering or a comparable technical field
- Extensive experience in grid control and IT grid operations is highly desirable
- Previous experience in load dispatching (Lastverteiler) is preferred
- Experience handling regulatory requirements and working within technical committees
- Proven track record in managing complex technical relationships and decision-making

Additional
- A security and reliability check according to the Security Clearance Act (Sicherheitsüberprüfungsgesetz) is required due to the role's involvement with critical infrastructure. Location: Frankfurt am Main.
